What Is Sitting Down With Me Really Like?

What to expect when you book a homeopathy consultation with Bridgett.

Maybe you've been curious about homeopathy for a while.

You've read a few things. You've heard someone talk about it. Maybe you've even used a remedy here and there.

But then you start wondering...

What actually happens when I sit down with a homeopath?

Do I need to know anything beforehand?
What will you ask me?
What if I don't know how to explain what's going on?
And honestly...what is a consultation even like?

I thought I'd take you behind the scenes a little and share what you can expect when you sit down with me at Rustic Roots Homeopathy.

It Starts With a Conversation

When you book a consultation with me, we're going to talk.

And I mean really talk.

I'm not expecting you to walk in knowing exactly what information is important or already having everything figured out. That's part of my job.

I'll ask questions and listen to your answers so I can begin to understand the bigger picture of what you're experiencing.

Sometimes that means talking about the main concern that brought you to me. Sometimes it means going back a little further and looking at when something started, what was happening around that time, and how things have changed.

And sometimes, the details that seem completely unrelated end up being the details that catch my attention.

It's About More Than Just a Symptom

One of the things I enjoy most about homeopathy is getting to know the individual behind the complaint.

If two people come to me with the same symptom, I'm not necessarily looking for the same remedy for both.

That's because I'm interested in how that person experiences their symptoms.

What does it feel like?

When did it begin?

What makes it better or worse?

What else was happening at the time?

Are there patterns?

What makes your experience different from someone else's?

Those little details can help paint a much more complete picture.

You Don't Have to Know What Matters

This is something I want people to know before they book with me:

You don't have to know which details are important.

You don't have to come prepared with the perfect words.

You don't have to understand homeopathy.

And you certainly don't have to know which remedy you need.

Just come ready to tell me your story as honestly and completely as you can.

I'll guide the conversation and ask questions along the way.

What Happens After We Talk?

Once we've gone through your case, I'll take the information we've discussed and work through the details to determine which homeopathic remedy best fits the individual picture we've uncovered.

I'll explain what I'm recommending and how to use it, including what to watch for afterward.

For chronic consultations, we'll also talk about what comes next and when we'll check back in.

For acute concerns, the process may be more focused on what's happening right now and the specific details surrounding the current situation.

Every consultation isn't going to look exactly the same—and that's intentional.

You Don't Have to Have It All Figured Out

If you've been thinking about booking but you've been hesitant because you don't really know what to expect, I hope this helps take some of that uncertainty away.

You don't need to walk into a consultation with a list of answers.

You just need to be willing to have a conversation.

I'll ask the questions.

You tell me your story.

And together, we begin looking at the individual picture.

That's what sitting down with me is really all about.
